Communicating with the Treasurer (Barb Poulias):
Whenever you give money to the
Treasurer, please use a green form to specify your transaction. This is extremely
important because our accounting has to be very specific and accurate, as required by the
state and IRS. If you pay for more than one kind of item (e.g., tickets and an
Entertainment book), please indicate that both on the form and on your check, if you use
a check.
Please come a little early to rehearsals when you need to see the Treasurer, or arrange
with her to see her after rehearsal.
We all need our warm-ups! |

Concert dress:
Women: long black skirt (no slacks!) and long-sleeved black blouse; black hose and shoes;
simple jewelry in gold.
Men: black suit or tux, white shirts, black bow ties, black socks, black shoes.
Fundraising Information:
Both Entertainment Books and Enjoy the City books are $20 each. We earn $10 from each
Enjoy the City book, and only $5 from each Entertainment book. Also, there are
individual rewards for selling 5 or 10 Enjoy the City books (ask treasurer Barb Poulias).
Please make out only one check (to "VocalArt Singers") for your food orders. That way,
you collect the money and consolidate it so that our Treasurer, a volunteer, is not
burned out! Also, food orders must be paid *when they are placed." Absolutely no
promises to pay later will be accepted.
Dues: $55 for the year, payable at the 1st rehearsal. One time $15 music deposit.
Absences: Contact our director at 616-516-5935.
